The Ultimate Guide: What a Man Should Wear When Traveling by Airplane
Traveling by airplane can often be a long and tiring experience, especially on those lengthy international flights. That’s why comfort should be your top priority. But that doesn’t mean you can’t also be stylish! Here’s a list on what men should wear when traveling by airplane to ensure comfort and style.
1. Comfortable Pants
The first thing on your checklist should be a pair of comfortable pants. Jeans might seem like the obvious choice, but for long-haul flights, you may want something with a little more give. Consider wearing chinos, joggers or even well-tailored sweatpants. They offer the perfect balance between comfort and style. I normally choose to wear joggers or another style of sweat pants.
2. Comfortable Shirt
For your upper body, go for a breathable fabric like cotton or linen. A simple T-shirt or a button-down shirt are both excellent options. If you’re traveling to or from a cooler climate, layer it with a lightweight sweater or hoodie that you can easily put on or take off as needed.
3. Comfortable Footwear
When it comes to footwear, opt for slip-on shoes like loafers or sneakers. They are easy to take off at security checks and can be slipped off during the flight to keep your feet comfortable. Don’t forget to wear socks to keep your feet warm and protected.
4. Accessories
Travel Accessories are not just for style; they can also serve practical purposes. A good-quality bag can hold all your essentials. A Travel size pillow or blanket. Noise-canceling headphones can block out the airplane noise and provide entertainment.
5.Choose Practical Footwear
Footwear should be easy to slip on and off, particularly during security checks. Sneakers, loafers, or slip-on sandals are practical choices. Remember, feet can swell during flights, so choose footwear that is comfortable and not too tight. Flip flops seem comfortable but I don’t recommend when walking around the airport. The last thing you want is for someone to step on your toes or get a foot injury on your way to your destination.
6. Watch Your Colors
Finally, when choosing your travel outfit, stick to darker colors. The reason I wear darker color clothing to the airport is just incase I’m eating and something spills the stain wont stand out as bad.
Remember, your airplane outfit should be comfortable, functional, and stylish. With these tips in mind, you’ll not only arrive at your destination feeling refreshed and comfortable but also looking your best. Safe travels!
